SPN rec: Summer Blackout, by

Feb. 3rd, 2007 12:31 pmThis is a slash story that involves an underage Sam, but in the most natural, fumbly-teenager possible way. Explicit, yes, but never crude with it. I don't believe that anyone can be squicked by this story, because the content IS age-appropriate.
The writing style is somewhat lyrical and elegant, sparse with descriptions but so very effective with it. The feel of the setting is very tangible. Both boys are in character.
My only gripe would be with part of John's characterization, but I recognize that it's mostly because I am so very sensitive to how he's portrayed, and truly, the John in this story is believable as well.
Highly recommended :)
