Haven't written a word yesterday (Sunday? Can't remember, will check) so I hope to make up today for that, eventually. --> me=blah. Waste of an individual, if you ask me.
In part, I got sidetracked by all the SPN Creation Con reports, photos, VIDEOS!
The fantastic
super_wiki site has a full list of links to peruse. And Sam Ferris put a mini con report on her blog, too. How much does that woman rock, uh? :D
I can't tell enough THANK YOU to all the fans that went and shared their squee with the rest of us stuck in non-con land...
...(HAHA, that's funny *G* at times I do surprise myself). Sometimes Fandom is a bit PITA, but most of the times, Fandom is Love :D
And then, THIS.
For those of you who haven't seen OZ, you should. Yes, there is violence, goriness, foul language, male full frontals and all around nastiness, but if a show deserved to win awards and prizes, it was this one.
The following clip is at the end of the last season. Just a juicy morself that the writers throw us and the conclusion of Miguel Alvarez's story arc and ..the beginning of something. Bobby Cannavale (Third Watch, Kingpin) as Torquemada in all his splendour, even with a fake eyes and Billy Idol/Spike blond hair, just appears for this brief scene and another one, iirc, but wow....isn't this an intense, excellent, angst-ridden, sexual tension heavy moment.
There's nothing more than two men talking, in this clip. Do watch it. It's worth it.
PS. Cannavale is really, really tall. *G*

It's such a good show, it hurts to watch it. And yet, I think everyone should watch it! :)
But you know that ;)
I can feel a rerun marathon comin', writers strike and all *G*

Date: 2007-11-13 06:41 pm (UTC)Would you believe I've never seen an episode of Oz? Maybe I should Netflix it. I need CUTE guys though (no offense to the actors in the scene *g*). I know, I'm shallow. I need pretty.
I'm at work, bleah. Hope the writing goes well. Don't be too hard on yourself! Even Shakespeare took a day off now and then, I'm sure. ;)
*drive-by snuggle* Love you.

Date: 2007-11-13 08:48 pm (UTC)*it's all secret and mysterious *G*
*is snuggled* love you too.
OZ: uhm...it's more about the story and what men do in prison than about the pretty. I sure think you should give it a try (and it does get quite graphically violent in points) anyway!

I read a paper on OZ at a conference, couple of years ago (was asked to turn it into an article but my mother was having a bad spell and gave up) - it has the highest rate of dead characters per ep per season than ANY other tv series *G*
