NEXUS SONGVID!

It's a couple of days earlier, but...

Lithium Doll, aka [livejournal.com profile] halcyon_shift, is a lovely, adorable, generous person. I went to her with an idea/request, and she ran with it, like the awesome person she is: a Nexus 'verse songvid for [livejournal.com profile] disanddat's (incoming) birthday.

A NEXUS SONGVID.

The Nexus is a crossfandom 'verse [livejournal.com profile] disanddat came up with around last Christmas: characters from Harsh Realm, SPN, OaT, XFiles, Roswell thrown in an enclosed space, mysterious and dangerous and with no exit ways AND with Tentacles Monsters running amok.

Everything (fic, graphics, creative brainstorming) is first posted here along an open timeline: [livejournal.com profile] nexus_verse.
Then everything is compiled in chronological order here: Nexus website.

It's a fantastic experience of shared writing - myself, [livejournal.com profile] lorelei633, [livejournal.com profile] candygramme and [livejournal.com profile] art_of_mayhem have contributed some stories - and now [livejournal.com profile] halcyon_shift have turned it all into a SONGVID.
Collaborative creative spaces and all that ...:)
*dies for the AWESOMENESS of it all*

SO, in conclusion:

A NEXUS SONGVID.

Made by the talented and generous and oozing creative mad skillz:[livejournal.com profile] halcyon_shift

For [livejournal.com profile] disanddat: Happy birthday!

You're much loved :)

I know I shouldn't jump in here, because I'm just an outsider who's been reading a bit...but this is INCREDIBLE. All these guys really look like they are inhabiting the same 'verse, and it's just like the one in your fics...dark, greenish tunnels, and the TENTACLES. Sweaty, feral Krycek. Swaggering, strong, in-charge John. Sam and Dean and Mulder and Vic (and those other guys I don't know).

You guys are amazing.

Of course you should jump in here!!!!
The more the merrier :)

Glad to know you've been reading and double glad you like the vid! LD has done an amazing job :D

Thank you for telling me, and please, do feel free to jump in and comment and contribute whenever you feel like :D

The other guys:

Max Evans and Michael Guerin, the human/alien hybrids from Roswell

and

Tom Hobbes and Mike Pinocchio, from Harsh Realm

Harsh Realm is really worth watching, imo, it had great potential. Fox axed it too soon and CC still sounded bitter in the dvds' interview years after, LOL.

Roswell is very much teen angst spiced up with alien comspiracies and sci-fi elements, but I liked it *G*

Thank you for reading :D
(uses the Nexus!John icon just because :D)

I came so close to watching Roswell a bunch of times just because of the name and the promos always looked interesting.

I'm going to have to check out that and Harsh Realm both :)

Oooooh, Papa John. He's da man. :D

Yes, m'am, he so is *G*

(forgive me, I'm all bouncy :D

I sort of screamed away from Roswell when it was first airing (it was on back in Italy on satellite, just before Next Generation, which me and my brother watched sort of religiously), but then...scifi UK had reruns...a fellow fan friend, a fellow fan friend there...(yes, I'm looking at digital_opium and disanddat)...Brendan Fehr as a deliciously pouty/troubled Michael Guerin...and I fell. *G*
it's scifi, I'll give anything scifi a try ;)

Harsh Realm...I love it. It was axed because of a change at the execs level at Fox, apparently, but it was such a great setting (the US army has created a virtual universe to try out war scenarios. A Real Life ex general practically steals the project away and runs it according to his own terms), at least, if you're army/conspiracy inclined in your stories.
And there's a dog! Called Dexter! *G*

Sorry, I'm rambling :D
Let me know what you think when you get to watch it/them!

Bouncy is good! :D I am looking forward to seeing these now. And next week we have a four-day weekend for a holiday here - a great time to get started!

Was Harsh Realm the one Nick Lea was maybe going to be in but then wasn't? Or am I getting confused (probably)?

Yep, that's the one, as far as I know.
I don't know if he was going to be Hobbes or Pinocchio, I wasn't a XFile fan/Nick Lea fan at the time so my info are from other fans of long standing and they don't know either (at least, those I asked to). But yes, it was Harsh Realm...and I want to believe, firmly, they would have found another role in it for him at some point. :)

YAY for four days weekend! HR goes in a day, like drinking water ;)
