New York Anime Festival:
New York Anime Festival, a new fan festival and trade show focused on Japanese animation and manga publishing, that will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City the weekend of December 7-9.
And Joss Whedon defending art (the art of writing, but I suppose art in general) as a proper job, which it is! HERE. And an interesting reflection on the value of fan-activities HERE (which is how I got to the Joss link).
