I'm rewatching the Christmas episode (ideally, I'd like to rewatch the whole of season 3 until now, to get a feel for it better than the one I have now, because due to the hiatus, RL, etc etc, I have the feeling that I watched it in jarring hiccups, and I'd like to have a better, more complete feel for it).

So, the Christmas episode.

ION...I FORGOT IT WAS ASHES TO ASHES TONIGHT! ARGH!

I haven't read more than a couple of the eps reaction posts by you people, and I think I need to rewatch it more carefully before I can comment properly.
In a way, I was just so happy to see the boys again, I sort of didn't take any of it in, just, OH SPN! OH BOYS! and WHERE'S JOHN DAMMIT? (what? *g*)
The long Christmas pause, I always hated it. Always. It breaks up the momentum of a series, it seems...so unnecessarily long. And the strike..*sigh*

Anyway, way to stray aside from the entry's subject line, lol.

My reaction this time was: SPN! BOYS! SPN! *grabby hands*

Sorry :)
(the usual issues of gender and race were..the usual issues, as always, with pros and cons, in need of a much more detailed analysis and scrutiny)

I can't for the life of me remember it.
But anyway.

For the record?

I loved this episode. Loved it. It felt like a first season episode with the added weight of two seasons of mythology.

Loved it and watched it twice, one after the other.

Short OBLIGATORY spoilery comment under the cut..and who knows me can imagine what it is about )

I do apologize for spamming, I'm obviously chatty today and not enough busy with SRZ RL STUFF!

Behind the cut, of course. Just a quick reaction, because it's ten to 3 am here and I'm dying on my feet.

I wanted to say, I'm glad that SPN is back, I was looking forward to it. This time, after the first spoilers bubbled up, I decided to stay away from spoilers as much as possible - I'll look at promo pics, I'll watch the previews on the CW site, I'm fine with eps titles, but that's it. Thing is, without John Winchester...is not the same for me. I do love the boys, I do. But John Winchester is sorely missed, and his absence takes away part of my squee.

Anyway...quick review of SPN 03 01 )

..or whatever that ep is titled, because I think it killed my brain. Completely.

I have one or two observations to make right away, before a more reasoned eventually posted series of observations in an interesting observationally way

I haven't yet read anyone's comment/review/reaction to it.

Quick update to say that I'm much RL busy (mostly doctors appointments and such) and that since energy level is astoundingly LOW (two red bull a day isn't a healthy lifestyle, no-no), I'm keeping a low-profile and mostly doing stuff behind the stage curtains (or whatever the saying goes).
Hopefully, it'll be solved soonish.

BTW, is anyone knowledgeable about hypothyroidism issues? *looks at F-list hopefully*
Personally/professionally, etc? (or SignificantOthers, etc). I've got a couple of questions I'd like to discuss.

Ben Edlund wrote an amazing episode.
I haven't read any of the other reviews/reactions entries (yet) - I will read them as soon as I am able to: for some mysterious reason, I can open my f-list but none of the links are accessible unless I get to each of the journals individually via my userinfo page...which is somewhat cluncky and maddening, as you can imagine.

So, my thoughts under the cut. Definitely chock-full of spoilers.Read more... )

Is it next Thursday yet? *ggg*

So much to say...not as polished a comment as I would like, but time is not on my side.
